David Och & Daniela Widmer		Back To Freedom In 2011, Daniela Widmer and David Och drove from Switzerland to India in a van, passing through countries like Iran and Pakistan, and getting to know the local cultures and the people along the way. On the way back, however, they met some people that stole their freedom. Daniela and David were captured by Taliban and held hostage for 8.5 month, 260 days and nights or 6300 hours. In their TEDxTalk, they will tell us about their captivity, their midnight escape, and the meaning of freedom.

Daniel Aufdenblatten www.air-zermatt.ch		Back To Earth Daniel Aufdenblatten is no ordinary helicopter pilot. He has run 700 rescue missions, many of them at high elevations in treacherous mountain conditions for Air Zermatt. But the world is his rescue-ground, and in his TEDxZug Talk, Daniel will share with us his most daring mission which earned him and his rescue partner the International Heroism Award, known as the Oscar for pilots. In 2010, he rescued three Spanish climbers in the death zone of 7,000 meters near the summit of Annapurna in Nepal, and will tell us about risk-taking, decision-making and teamwork.

Isabel Stadnick www.lakotawaldorfschool.org		Back To The Roots Fascinated with Native American Indian culture, Isabel left a relatively normal and comfortable life in Switzerland in 1989, and went on an extended trip to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Here she met her husband an Oglala Lakota tribal member, they founded the Lakota Waldorf School. Isabel feels that the best way to prepare for the future is to ground one's self and one's community in the past, in heritage and roots. Isabel says, "In order to know where we are going, we have to know where we come from, and this is the best way for children to be the creators of their own future."

Dr. med. Niklaus Flütsch www.gynipraxis-zug.ch		Back To My Soul "We've got to get rid of the taboos of transsexuality," says gynecologist and endocrinologist, Niklaus Flütsch. Few people know this better than Niklaus who, after years of internal struggle, began his journey from female to male. Niklaus did not have the luxury of the internet, and much of the information he found in a very few books was discouraging. "It took me a long time to find my way, to give myself a manly face that would match my masculine spirit."

Jochen Hanselmann www.hancon.ch		Back To The Future Jochen Hanselmann is convinced that 3D Printing will be "the third industrial revolution," and that it will have a similar disruptive impact on our lives as the PC. Imagine a world in which physical products can be sent around the world digitally, then customized for individual needs and produced locally on demand. Jochen will take us there.

Andy Habermacher www.leading-brains.com		Back To Humanity Andy Habermacher is one of Europe’s leading experts on Neuroleadership – applying brain science to leadership contexts. Understanding the brain can highlight some surpassingly simple and meaningful insights into human behaviour. Andy will show that the evolution of the brain and growth of the brain in humans can point us to what is really important in life and where we can find our deepest wishes and desires. Ironically the brain’s core functioning and evolution can also draw society down the wrong path and may end up going against the needs of humanity – can we get back to humanity?
